===Field experiencesजमीनी अनुभव===In Nepal, multiple-use water systems were introduced by Nepal Smallholder Market Initiative नेपाल में नेपाल स्मालहोल्डर मार्केट इनिशियेटिव (SIMIसिमी), International Development Enterprise (IDE), and Winrockऔर विनरॉक द्वारा बहु-उपयोगी जल सेवा की शुरुआत की गयी. The systems consist of collection tanks at springs or small streams diversionsइस व्यवस्था में झरनों के पास संग्रहण टैंक या छोटी धाराओं की दिशा बदलने जैसे काम किये गये, which deliver water to a reservoir near a village by gravity flow through a pipeजिससे गांव के नजदीक तालाब में गुरुत्वाकर्षण बहाव के साथ पाइप की मदद से जल पहुंचाया गया. These systems serve यह सेवाएं 10-40 householdsपरिवारों के लिए कारगर साबित हुईं, which use the water both for domestic purposes and horticultureवे इन पानी का इस्तेमाल घरेलू और खेती दोनों मकसद के लिए कर रहे हैं. The introduction of drip irrigation systems ensured an efficient use of the water and better plant growthड्रिप सिंचाई को लागू कराने की वजह से पौधों का विकास भी बेहतर हुआ और जल का उपयोग भी. Sixty percent of drip irrigation users apply water from the domestic systemड्रिप सिंचाई का इस्तेमाल करने वाले साठ फीसदी परिवार घरेलू तंत्र से ही पानी का उपयोग कर रहे हैं.
