A checklist to determine the sustainability of a techology in a project
In the past, many technologies introduced in developing countries failed. Major reasons for failure were that the techologies involved were too expensive, too complicated and/or had a lack of ownership.
The questions listed below can help determine the sustainability of a technology regarding the technical, social, financial and logistical aspects. Although In making this list, the goal has not been to be complete, as there are obviously many more questions are issues that could be raised. The list should be a practical help to assess the viability of course possible, the list below is kept as short as possible, a specific technology in order to remain practicala specific situation.
