The Aga Khan Foundation focuses on health, education, culture, rural development, institution building and economic development. It is dedicated to improving living conditions and opportunities for the poor without regard to faith, origin or gender. The Water and Sanitation Extension Programme (WASEP),an arm of the Aga Khan Foundation, aims to provide integrated water supply infrastructure services to local communities and to help prevent water related diseases though improved hygiene and sanitation practices.
