Tools for users creating wiki page collections
Users who are accessing a wiki with a lot of useful information can often benefit by being able to access a single file that contains the relevant information. The advantages are:
- Offline viewing
- Easily redistributed
- Can be printed
This can be achieved with-
- Collections Extension for Mediawiki
- (link) allows users to place pages into personal collections which can be exported to a file. This extension is the key to enabling PDF and ODT "save as" for formatted documents.
Licensing
The Akvopedia has transitioned to the same licensing scheme as Wikipedia has done, but the transition here on the Akvopedia is still incomplete. I know at least that this one is left to do: Akvopedia:Copyrights
