Clean water lies at the crux of many challenges facing African people - health, education, human rights. The H2OAfrica Foundation supports sustainable, integrated water programs, sustainable in that projects are accompanied by training and maintenance to create a program that will live for the long run and integrated in that the activity will complement other programs in the region, such as education and infrastructure development.

Co-founded by actor Matt Damon, H2O Africa is creating widespread public awareness of the water crisis in Africa and gathering support for cost effective and impactful clean water programs in critical areas, including communities along the Running the Sahara route.
