Gracias a las campañas continuas de varias organizaciones y de los departamentos responsables de la distribución y el uso del agua, las autoridades de Chennai han decidido restaurar alrededor de 40 tanques en los templos más importantes de la ciudad con el fin de convertir a estos tanques en zonas de captación de agua de lluvia.
