The Central Java Provincial Government in Indonesia has made a commitment to revitalize and restore the northern coasts of Central Java with the ICZM approach. One of the efforts is by cooperating with The Dutch-Indonesian ICZM consortium, who will assist the local authorities with knowledge development and capacity building to implement ICZM.
The cooperation was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Water by the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (LHK) and the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management and the Letter of Intent (LoI) submitted by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) and the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management in November 2016.[1]
