Bucket and basket lifting involves speeding up the process of filling, lifting and emptying a bucket (or basket). Several of these very low-tech solutions for lifting water have been around for centuries. There are many pumps that work faster with less effort, but are more costly. So these water lifting devices are good to know about in case better technologies cannot be acquired or breakdown.
