<< The Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) for the Northern Coast of Central Java

<< Analysis of Coastal Spatial Plan

To realize the objectives of regional spatial planning, spatial planning policies are prepared which include:

a. Improved management of protected areas with the following strategies:

b. Determine the delineation of protected areas based on the nature of their protection;

c. Controlling the development of settlements and improving the management of dis- aster-prone areas; and

d. Improve watershed quality.

Control the development of cultivation activities so as not to exceed the carrying capacity and capacity of the environment with the following strategies:

a. Limiting the development of settlement activities in disaster-prone areas

b. Determine the carrying capacity and capacity of the cultivation area;

c. Controlling urban development horizontally (city-wide)

Optimizing the development of coastal areas with the following strategies:

a. Develop port facilities and infrastructure;

b. Developing fishery facilities and infrastructure; and

c. Develop coastal tourism facilities and infrastructure.

In strengthening the objectives of the 2009-2029 Central Java RTRW, it is necessary to add objectives with spatial policies and strategies in the form of:

a. It is necessary to develop a protected area development strategy as part of the realization of the preservation of environmental functions and carrying capacity which is manifested in forest cover which has a vital function in preserving the environment and ecosystem services that support human life. Therefore, specifically, there is a need for a strategy to determine a minimum of 30% Green Open Space (RTH) as an effort to conserve the environment and maintain a balance of development. Increased green open space can be optimized in watersheds (DAS) and residential areas.

b. Based on the study of the carrying capacity and carrying capacity of the environment, all cultivation activities in detail must be in accordance with the carrying capacity and capacity of the land. Therefore, in a cultivation area development strategy, it is necessary to develop a cultivation utilization strategy that must be in accordance with the carrying capacity and minimum environmental capacity by taking into account the carrying capacity of land, water, and food.
