Since our translation program began last summer, we've had the honor and privilege of several new translating volunteers to help us transform Akvopedia into a truly global online WASH encyclopedia. We now have Spanish, French, some Malayalam, Tamil & Hindi, and some Chinese and Korean pages, and more coming in all the time. Céline joined us as a French translator, and has been doing a beautiful job on our Water Portal. Allowing our pages to reach and benefit French speakers from around the world.

The [[Accessible WASH Design]] pages are useful for disabled, elderly, the sick, and children - all those who need special help with accessing and using sanitation facilities. It is made for use by staff, working directly with communities - e.g. health workers and community volunteers working with disabled and older people and their families in rural areas of sub-Saharan Africa, and beyond. Most of the ideas are suitable for disabled and older people, but are not only for them. As we get older, many of us find it increasingly difficult to squat and balance, or we might be injured or sick.
Céline has shared this about her work: "For a translator recently graduated, translating for Akvopedia gives the chance of gaining knowledge and specializing on water and sanitation issues, two key themes in today’s world, and thus to acquire valuable experience. This is also an opportunity to participate fully in the activities of Akvopedia  providing a useful work  for a large community!"

''"Pour une traductrice récemment diplômée, traduire pour Akvopedia  offre la possibilité d’enrichir ses connaissances et de se spécialiser sur l’eau et les questions sanitaires,  des thèmes porteurs dans le monde actuel, et donc d’acquérir une expérience appréciable . C’est également l’occasion de participer pleinement aux activités d’Akvopedia  en fournissant un travail utile à une large communauté!"''

The Accessible WASH Design pages are useful for disabled, elderly, the sick, and children - all those who need special help with accessing and using sanitation facilities.
