Several monitoring tools have been developed by international organisations for the water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) sector that can be used to monitor financial flows and inform financial planning. All tools listed make use of costs information. The majority of these monitoring tools were developed by international organisations for planning and budgeting WASH interventions in low income settings.
