The WASH alliance project is designed to be implemented in zone 3 of Afar region, in 6 districts. The objective of the project is to increase access to sustainable sanitation facilities and safe drinking water for pastoralist community. It is a five year program: from January 2011 up to December 2015, with a total budget of 1, 245, 000 EUR which is funded by the Netherlands Foreign Ministry through AMREF-Netherlands.
