2010 മുതല്‍ നേപ്പാളില്‍ RAIN has implemented ഫൗണ്ടേഷന്‍ മഴവെള്ള സംഭരണത്തിനായുള്ള മൈക്രോ ക്രെഡിറ്റില്‍ 3 pilots on microcredit and rainwater harvesting since 2010 in Nepal and has carried out feasibility studies on the potential of micro-finance in Burkina Faso and Senegalപൈലറ്റ് പദ്ധതികള്‍ നടപ്പിലാക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. In Nepalമൈക്രോ ഫിനാന്‍സിംഗിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള സാധ്യതാ പഠനം ബുര്‍ക്കിനാ ഫാസോയിലും, RAINs partner നേപ്പാളിലും നടത്തുകയുണ്ടായി. നേപ്പാളില്‍ RAIN -ന്റെ പാര്‍ട്ണര്‍ [http://www.bspnepal.org.np/ BSP-Nepalനേപ്പാള്‍ ] has succeeded to reduce the subsidy amount by സബ്‌സിഡി തുക 25%, which is now a small loanശതമാനം വരെ കുറയ്ക്കുന്നതില്‍ വിജയിച്ചു. Loans are being repaid and first outcomes are promisingപെട്ടെന്ന് ലഭ്യമാകുന്ന ഈ വായ്പകളുടെ ആദ്യ ഫലങ്ങള്‍ പ്രതീക്ഷക്കു വകനല്‍കുന്നതായിരുന്നു. An evaluation was carried out by 2012-ല്‍ [http://www.waste.nl/ WASTE] in 2012, which showed that micro-finance is indeed a feasible option for financing rainwater harvesting systemsഇതെക്കുറിച്ച് വിശകലനം നടത്തിയപ്പോള്‍ മഴവെള്ള സംഭരണ പദ്ധതികള്‍ക്ക് മൈക്രോ ഫിനാന്‍സ് പദ്ധതികള്‍ തികച്ചും അനുയോജ്യമാണെന്നു കണ്ടു. ഇതിനും പുറമേ ആംസ്റ്റര്‍ഡാമിലെ വി.യു. In addition, a Masters student from VU University Amsterdam carried out a more qualitative research on microcredit and rainwater harvesting in Nepalയൂണിവേഴ്‌സിറ്റിയിലെ ബിരുദ വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥി നേപ്പാളില്‍ മഴവെള്ള സംഭരണത്തിനുള്ള മൈക്രോ ക്രെഡിറ്റിനെക്കുറിച്ച് കുറേക്കൂടെ സമഗ്രമായ ഗവേഷണം നടത്തുകയുണ്ടായി.
Based on this study, RAIN is currently developing a business plan (also see Sustainable Financing Tool) to upscale its activities in Nepal and introduce sustainable ways of financing rainwater harvesting in other country programmes. A short guide (2-3 pages) will be developed based on information from Nepal, Burkina and Senegal. It will showcase RAIN's activities in financing and create a platform for discussion and sharing practices on rainwater harvesting.
