Design pond capacity according to peak flood events, so it can handle the volume of waterतालाब का डिजाइन इस तरह तैयार किया जाना चाहिए कि अधिकतम पानी के बहाव को भी वह बरदाश्त कर सके. Plant vegetation near the pond to stabilize soils, so that intense rainfall will not erode banks and/or create new escape channelsतालाब के निकट पौधरोपण करने से मिट्टी में स्थिरता आती है. इस स्थिति में भारी बारिश होने पर भी किनारे कटते नहीं.
