Aim — Hivos wants to contribute to a democratic, pluralistic world where all people - women and men - have equal rights and opportunities to participate in decision-making processes that govern their lives, and where justice and sustainable development are ensured. Hivos puts its goals explicitly in the context of structural poverty, where the term 'structural' is leading in the policy choices Hivos makes.
