Aim — The aim of A4A is to stimulate, with knowledge, expertise and funding from the Dutch water sector, the access of safe drinking water and good sanitation facilities to the poorest people in the world as described in the Millennium goals.

More information — A4A acts as a matchmaker between the Dutch watersector and small development cooperations. A part of the budget is earmarked for activities related to: 1. integrated watermanagement in relation to rainwater, 2. decentralised sanitation, 3. appropriate technologie.

Criteria — The most important criteria's are: 1. No individuals can apply 2. Local knowledge, support and partner are essential 3. The project needs to be cost efficient

How to apply


Application procedure — < €25.000 one step application > €25,000 two step application procedure: 1. Initial application using threshold criteria 2. Extensive application using review criteria

Selection procedure — Project proposals will be judged using review criteria. Project applications can also be adjusted with the help of A4A consultants.
