'''PRACTICA foundationWES-Net India''' aims to facilitate research, development and commercial application is a learning alliance of technology stakeholders in the field of water Water and Environmental Sanitation sector, including NGOs, UN agencies, private sector, consultants, government departments and energy in developing countriesdonors.

PRACTICA evolves within large development projects that include WES-Net India was established in December 2004 by a number of organisations with a stake in the introduction sector and dissemination of appropriate technologies as manual well drilling its development, including Plan International, Pragmatix, UNICEF and rope pumps. PRACTICA supports the technology components World Bank/UNDP Water and implements training courses Sanitation Programme. At present, WES-Net India has about 600 members, including individuals and capacity building for various institutions, across the public and private sectorcountry.

Other areas of work include product development, applied WES-Net's objective is to improve knowledge sharing and scientific research, feasibility studies co-ordination within the water and consultancy servicessanitation sector. The process of introducing low-cost technology to private manufacturers / workshops and end-users focus is labour-intensive. Even if in a region a particular technology ultimately catches on, it takes a relatively high investment to get to a ‘critical mass’achieving the Millennium Development Goals. PRACTICA The network aims to accelerate this process by taking care enhance horizontal and vertical exchange of the ‘introductory information and dissemination process’experiences through continuous feedback from people who use it. At WES-Net is also the same time PRACTICA has a general role as a clearing house, advocate Water and source Sanitation Community of practical knowledge on promising new affordable technologies the UN's Knowledge Management Partnership Initiative. The solution exchange platform (e-discussions) enables WES-Net members to participate by raising and services in addressing issues which are shaping the water and energy sanitation sectorin India.
