Zambia get US $50 million dollars to improve water management
The World Bank has given Zambia 50 million U.S. dollars to help the southern African nation manage its water resources effectively, a senior government official has said.

Cranfield launches Sue White Fund for Africa
The Sue White Fund for Africa, established with her generous bequest, provides funding to enable students to study for a PhD award with Cranfield University in topics related to her research. The fund will support students researching water and sanitation, catchment processes and water management. Students will be based in Africa for the majority of their studies.

Operation Hydrate to distribute three million litres of water
Operation Hydrate, a water distribution initiative, aims to deliver three million litres of water to drought stricken areas around South Africa this weekend. So far over two-million litres of water has been distributed across the country since the launch of this initiative earlier in January.

Bola Butta watershed management rehabilitates degraded land
In a recent field visit aimed at accessing exemplary watershed management works at Bola Butta, Tirunesh added: "We got organized and carried out various watershed management activities on the hill. We have managed to save 20,000 Birr and plan to operate mill. Moreover, we have become beneficiaries of clean water and all-weather road. But also want to have milk cows and electric power," she said.
