Long Beach church raises $29,000 for Haitian church bathrooms
The Rev. LaRue Stephens of First Baptist Long Beach stood on a shiny tile bathroom floor at a church in Haiti, joyfully pointing to a septic tank. It is the pride of his South Mississippi church, which fell in love with Haiti in July 2014. The church has sent money and several mission teams a year in 2014 and 2015.

Colombia's Barrancabermeja set to launch delayed wastewater tender
The Colombian city of Barrancabermeja is hopeful that a tender will be launched in the next few days to construct the San Silvestre wastewater treatment plant, local newspaper Vanguardia reported.

Community-led Total Sanitation in Haiti: Findings from an Implementation Case Study
In June 2014, a researcher from The Water Institute collected data in the South-East and West Departments (first level administrative sub-divisions), including the capital city of Port-au-Prince. Data collection consisted of 20 in-depth interviews with government and non-government stakeholders, visits to seven triggered communities across both departments, and a review of relevant organizational documents and national reports.

FDA bans Cilantro from Puebla, Mexico over sanitation concerns
The lack of sanitation facilities in produce fields across Mexico has led to a product ban in the US, say US farmworker groups adding that Mexico is not the only country which has field sanitation problems.
